Born in Norway I graduated as a trumpet player from The Norwegian Academy of Music (Oslo) and worked as a professional musician for a short time before the fascination for music recording and production took me off the stage and into the control room.
Not before long I was hooked and knew that this was what I really wanted to pursue, and the next ten years were spent in Oslo training with and working for (and eventually in a team with), one of the most prominent balance engineers in the business, Arne Akselberg.
Through our international clients an opportunity opened up and in 1996 I moved to London to work for EMI at Abbey Road Studios. I was employed as Classical Editor and Producer and in the following nine years given the opportunity to work with some of the world's top musicians and orchestras in amazing venues and in collaboration with some excellent balance engineers
However, by 2005 there was a growing community of small girls that needed to be closer to their grandparents and the decision was made to head back to Norway. I have since been a travelling freelancer with a firm base in my fully fledged editing studio at Nesodden just outside Oslo.
